Five simple habits of a successful NDA aspirant | Tips from top defence institute in Lucknow

This article is written for students preparing for NDA at Warrior Defence Academy, Lucknow but it certainly applies to students preparing for NDA and SSB all over India in coaching institutes or preparing by themselves.

Hello students. You all must be preparing for NDA exams at top defence institute in Lucknow and have different habits which either help you or mar your chances of getting selected in the NDA exam and SSB. The bad habits though not a good thing, could be tolerated earlier but they certainly cannot be now when you are studying in no.1 NDA academy in Lucknow and you are in the fray to beat the best students in India to get a seat for SSB.

I have outlined here five simple habits which are easy to cultivate and can make life changing impact while you prepare NDA and SSB at best SSB coaching in Lucknow.

Sit on chair and use table to study. Often, I have seen students assume different postures while immersed in a deep study. Some of them lie on bed and study, some of walk with book in their hands, and etc. I am not against them but the best way to study is to sit on the chair and use table. For the students who are lazy this will be a bitter pill. But laziness has to be dropped if you are serious to become an officer. It is also the most productive and stable way.
My brother, an alumnus of Allahabad University, once told me that I should learn first to sit for hours on a chair facing a table. It lets you test how steady your mind is and your ability to concentrate your mind on a particular subject. This will help you in your SSB interview as well.

Read a newspaper and improve vocabulary daily. There are many things that are accumulative (Find the meaning of this word in the dictionary) in nature and need time to be assimilated in our memory. Facts and meanings are one of them. They cannot be completed overnight and need several months of practice. Newspaper is a source of great wealth of information. Learn to extract important facts and make a note of them in your notebook. Also, add daily some word to your vocabulary and try using it. Same goes to antonyms and synonyms.
These will help you to tick your answer easily hence providing you marks and saving your time for the rest of the questions. You will find the different newspapers in the library of your academy which is also no. 1 NDA academy in Lucknow.

I cannot leave my smartphone and keep using internet. If you have a habit of sticking too much on your smartphones doing unnecessary things, go home ask you father to replace it with a basic phone. Yes, there will be no Whatsapp, no Facebook, no Youtube, and etc. Your mind will try tricking you not to part with your phone by reminding you trivial things and try to make them look very important and hence request you not to leave your smartphone. Don`t get in the trap. You know you have weakness with smartphone and it must be ended immediately.
In the your institute, top defence institute in Lucknow, there is already very strict restriction on using mobile phones in the campus and you have to submit it to the institute when you enter the premises but at the hostel / home it is you who have to take care of your habit.

Analyse your daily preparation. You must devote sometime to think about your daily activities studying at best SSB coaching in Lucknow. You can do it probably before you just go to sleep. You must find what you did, ways in which it could have been done better, time wasted, and etc. A simple analysis of daily activities helps you keep your preparation on track and gives you a bird`s eye view of the situation and often helps you in improving your preparation.

It is something similar to a woodcutter who had the record of chopping down largest number of trees. Other woodcutters wondered how can his performance be superb. They asked him the reason behind his performance. He said he sharpens his axe daily after the lunch when others rest.

Strength of character. We live in an age where no more emphasis is laid on building human moral character. People want good facilities, good pay, and etc. But you must not be like them. A career in the defence means a great responsibility. You must daily try to add something in the list of your activities which helps you feel morally superior and utterly confident. It is the strength of character which makes great personalities. Be honest, lead a simple life, and be helpful. Speak politely to others.  Respect every one. Bring a sense of responsibility and uprightness.
